Harrogate Cat Rescue is an independent charity, started in 2020 by Celia Dakin. The Rescue is completely reliant on public donations to cover the costs of vets’ bills and food for the many cats and kittens that come to us on a daily basis. We are fuelled by the desire to help as many cats and kittens as we can and have an amazing team of dedicated volunteers.

Our mission is to save the lives of cats and kittens in Harrogate and the surrounding areas. We are only constrained by the lack of funding and limited foster spaces (we are always looking for new fosterers!) but we will always do our utmost to find space for the cats that National charities turn away.

Whether it’s trapping cats and kittens outside in horrendous conditions, or collecting abandoned and injured strays, we attend at any and all hours. We currently have over 100 cats and kittens in our care and every donation we receive makes a real difference.
