Dog visits his fence every day to get daily massage from the neighbour-pup

Like humans, dogs are able to form special bonds with other animals. The evidence remains largely based on observations – but a lot of dog owners can attest to that.

Ron Project reports that an 8-month-old puppy named Beaù considers the neighbour’s dog as her best friend.

After meeting a few months ago, they became close friends in an instant. Although Beaù is bigger than Rocco, their difference in size didn’t get in the way of their friendship. Beaù is such a sweet dog.

Her human, Kayleigh Burrowes, finds her Staffordshire Bull Terrier almost too friendly: “She’s is so hyper all the time and loves snuggles. (She’s) super friendly with all the neighbour’s dogs, but has a soft spot for Rocco,” she shares in an interview with The Dodo.

Kayleigh didn’t give much thought to the dogs’ bond until she saw something odd. “One day, I was sitting on my sofa then I looked out the patio door and Rocco was massaging Beaù. I thought I was seeing things for a second, but now they won’t stop,” she continued. She found the dogs’ interaction quite amusing.

It’s something not all people get to witness every day. This was what encouraged her to take a video of Rocco massaging her dog.

In the video, Beaù can be seen sitting beside a fence. At first, you’d think that she’s just relaxing and enjoying the nice weather outside. If you take a closer look, you’ll see a white tiny paw stroking the black dog’s back.

It was Rocco giving Beaù a massage!

The most adorable thing is it’s happening every day.

“This massaging could go on for as long as Beaù wants him to. It’s a daily thing now.”- Kayleigh said. Beaù seems to really enjoy getting his massages.

He actually likes getting a good scratch behind the ears, too. Rocco, on the other hand, enjoys doing it for him. He could do it all day as long as Beaù allows him to. At times, Kayleigh has to call Beaù just to go home.

Rocco used to have a friend named Jak. The two were extremely close. When Jak passed away, Rocco’s attention was turned to Beaù. He probably found the big dog comforting.

“(Rocco) really missed Jak as they were really close so Beaù made it easier,”-Kayleigh shared.

The video of the two dogs went viral. People who have seen it have nothing but admiration for Beaù and Rocco. One viewer commented: “Wow the way he sitting I know that back scratch hit the spot, his like yes yes don’t stop.”

Another one said: “Now that’s what you call a good little buddy. :)” Other viewers wished their humans would take down the fence. That way, Beaù and Rocco would have more time to play with each other. Beaù doesn’t return the favour.

And it doesn’t really matter. The big dog shows plenty of love for his small pal in other ways. The two dogs enjoy hanging out together in the yard even if there’s a fence in between them. That’s what real friendship is.

Being friends means doing favours for each other. You do things for your friends without expecting anything in return. And even if your friends fail to return the favour, it doesn’t mean that they don’t care for you. There are other ways your friends can show their love for you.
