Cats Play Area

Cats Play Area

A MALVERN animal rehoming centre has a new play area for its cats to enjoy.

Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter, in Hawthorn Lane, Newland, has received a donation from the LE Andrews Trust to build the play area, where cats are able to exercise in a more realistic size area that will assist them when they go to their new homes.

The play area is attached to existing cat pens, and features toys.

Claire Tregunna, the shelter's manager, said: "We are so grateful to everyone who has made this addition to our shelter possible, not forgetting Sanctuary Housing who kindly donated the floor tiles and also installed them for us.

"The shelter runs purely on donations from kind hearted people and this new structure proves such a benefit to the cats which will make their time with us much easier."

The shelter is running a companion dog show on Sunday, June 5, which also includes a numbers of stalls and refreshments including teas and a barbecue.
