Have a ‘pawsome’ day with your pooch this Valentine’s Day by showing how much you truely love your furry friend. We have compiled 10 loving things to do with your beloved dog.
1. Sleep in together and have a ‘lie in’
Start Valentines day sweetly and slowly by cuddling up with your pooch and even have breakfast in bed together!
2. Buy your dog a new toy
You know how much your pooch loves to play! Give him a new play thing to unwrap that will last well past Valentine’s Day.
3. Take your pooch to a dog friendly cafe for brunch
More and more restaurants and cafés are allowing your pet to join you. While you warm up with a hot coffee, let your pooch nibble on a biscuit. This is the perfect way to relax, people watch and of course, dog watch!
4. Arrange a ‘play date’ with a friend
Give your pooch some dog-time with a friend’s dog and arrange a walk in the park, countryside or beach. Then head to a pub for a spot of lunch or just a drink to quench your thirst.
5. Go on a road trip!
6. Take a long walk together
Nothing beats sniffing and investigating the great outdoors. You and your dog will both enjoy the fresh air and exercise and as an added bonus, you will wear your pooch out ready for a relaxing evening in together!
Dogs are often the best company for silent reflection. Sit with your ‘best friend’ and enjoy a moment together at your’s (or even better) your dog’s favourite place.
8. Make some tasty dog treats together
One of the best and most loving things we can do for our dog’s is to make treats for them. If you enjoy playing in the kitchen, do it together, have lot’s of messy fun and watch your furry friend go nuts!
9. Take pet ‘selfie’s’
Take lots of photos of you and your best friend to remind you of a very special day spent together.
10. Watch a dog movie together
End the perfect ‘pet day’ with some relaxation time and watch a dog movie together. Snuggle up with your pooch on the sofa, turn on a puppy love story like ‘Lady and the Tramp’, and share a bowl of unbuttered, unsalted popcorn!
